The Leprosy Mission Australia is part of the world's oldest and largest leprosy-focused organisation, founded in 1874. Inspired by Jesus, who reached out and touched people with leprosy, TLMA is working towards a leprosy-free world. The disease is completely curable, yet delayed treatment and stigma still cost people their health, work and belonging. TLMA brings cure, care and restoration: early diagnosis and treatment, self-care training, reconstructive surgery and support to earn a living. Because every person deserves life in all its fullness, free from disability and discrimination.
